(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis police officer who shot and killed a man during a weekend traffic stop is a six-year veteran of the department.
Officer Jason Ross fired one shot, striking 34-year-old Juan Arreola in the head.
Ross and another officer struggled with Arreola, who pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the officers. He had ignored their order to stay in the car after being pulled over for having no visible license plate on his car.
