(GARY) - A stolen semitrailer has now been recovered in Gary. But the question remains: what happened to the 20 tons of chocolate that was inside of it?
Last Saturday, the trailer was parked outside a Michigan City truck stop, but when the truck's driver returned to his rig Sunday morning to deliver the Hershey's product to Wisconsin - he found the trailer had vanished.
That driver, 58-year-old Daryl Rey was fired for violating a company policy. He wasn't supposed to leave the trailer unattended.
Meantime, police in Illinois, Ohio and Michigan are on alert for any unusual chocolate they might find.
