(UNDATED) - It’s no April fool’s gag: tolls on Interstate 90 in Northwest Indiana are set to jump by 72% for motorists who don’t use I-Zoom or I-Pass.
The spike starts tomorrow and will coincide with the start of electronic tolling across the entire length of the toll road.
It's a feature that had previously only been offered near the Illinois border. With the increase, the 157-mile trip from the Illinois to Ohio border will jump from $4.65 to $8.00.
