Wellfare Deputy's Charged Dropped To Misdemeanor

(LAFAYETTE) - A Tippecanoe superior court judge granted a former deputy’s request to have his perjury conviction reduced to a misdemeanor.

Judge Les Meade admitted that four-year-old Aiyana Gauvin didn't die as a result of Glen Keller lying about a well-being check on the girl.

Keller admitted to giving false testimony under oath.

Aiyana Gauvin died in 2006 as a result of abuse.

Her stepmother, Michelle, is serving a life sentence in prison. Her father is serving 50 years for neglect.
