(NORTH VERNON) - A Southern Indiana woman remains in critical condition in a hospital burn unit after officials say she intentionally set herself on fire.
The Jennings County Sheriff's Department said Yvette Jackson poured alcohol on herself, set herself ablaze, then climbed into a car with her 14-year-old daughter Monday evening.
Jackson was taken to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis with third-degree burns. She was in the hospital's burn unit in critical condition today.
The teen was treated at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon and released.
