(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana State Police have a Texas man in custody after chasing him through several counties in Central Indiana.
Police say they spotted 25-year-old Kevin Vilbig of Coppell, Texas clipping along westbound on I-70 in Wayne County at about 100 miles per hour early this morning.
The trooper tried to pull him over, but to no avail.
Long story short, about 50 miles, 4 counties and 2 spike strips later, Vilber wiped out in Indianapolis, and then he tried to take off running.
Officers sent a police dog after him which they say he fought off, and then they say he allegedly charged at one of the officers, at which point, he was hit with not one, but two Tasers.
And even that wasn't enough.
Reports say he yanked the electrified darts out, and kept at it, but was eventually subdued by officers.
Vilber is facing both felony and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement charges, as well as misdemeanors of criminal recklessness and mistreatment of a law enforcement animal.
Boy, they aren't kidding when they say, "Don't mess with Texas!"
