(INDIANAPOLIS) - If you think a lot of rain fell in March, you’re right.
National Weather Service Hydrologist Al Shipe says nearly 7 1/2 inches fell in Indianapolis and other parts of Central Indiana, making it the eighth-wettest March on record.
And the rainfall in Central Indiana pales in comparison to what the southern half received. Shipe says most of Southern Indiana got a foot of rain, and parts of the region received as much as 15 inches.
Shipe says the added rainfall has caused flooding problems and will continue to do so. And the short term forecast predicts even more rain
