(INDIANAPOLIS) - The widow of Robert Kennedy will attend ceremonies in Indianapolis commemorating RFK’s speech following the assassination of Martin Luther King.
Friday is the 40th anniversary of Kennedy's impromptu speech breaking the news to a largely African-American crowd.
The speech is credited with helping Indianapolis avoid the riots which struck other cities after King's murder.
Ethel Kennedy will be representing the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.
Her eldest daughter, former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, has endorsed Hillary Clinton.
