(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis and nine other cities have launched a new program to help cancer survivors cope with success.
10.5 million Americans have beaten cancer -- yet about half of them continue to wrestle with its emotional toll.
Over the course of six Saturdays, the Wellness Community will assemble therapists, nutritionists and other specialists to help survivors address both ongoing health needs and the nagging worry that cancer will return.
Golant says studies show a significant benefit just from getting together with others who have been through the same thing.
The series is co-sponsored by the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
