(INDIANAPOLIS) - Anne McGlorthon will serve six months home detention, one year probation and 120 days of community service for biting an autistic boy during a blood test last September.
McGlorthon worked for a subcontractor doing blood work for St. Vincent Hospital.
In February, she pleaded guilty to biting the two year-old boy on his shoulder. She said the boy was biting her forearm while she was holding him for a blood test. She testified she bit him on the shoulder in an attempt to get him to release her.
McGlorthon's employer, Mid America Clinical Laboratories, fired her after the incident and updated their employee training for handling autistic children.
