(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis police are certain the man who robbed the eastside Huntington Bank and shot the pregnant teller is still here in Marion County.
Police have combed surveillance video from the bank and the immediate area, but the main suspect remains elusive because he was covered from head to toe throughout the robbery and shooting.
Deputy Chief William Benjamin of the criminal investigation division believes the shooter has a criminal history and there are people who are familiar with him.
Police have searched two different gold Dodge Intrepids, but neither one turned out to be the getaway car.
Two informants gave police false information, wasting five days of investigative time and effort. But police say they are closing in on three men and a woman who they believe have information about the people who committed the robbery.
The teller, Kathrin Shuffield, lost her twins on Friday. She was five months pregnant when she was shot in the abdomen during last Tuesday's holdup.
