(WASHINGTON) - Indiana ranks 49th out of 50 states in federal funding for certain health programs, according to Trust For America’s Health.
The government awarded Indiana $87-million dollars in competitive grants and formula funding from the Centers From Disease Control and Prevention last year. But that amount, only adds up to little more than 13-bucks per person.
Governor Daniels office says the state will push for more federal dollars. By the way -- about 12% of Hoosiers don't have any health insurance.
