(STATEHOUSE) - Truckers from all over Indiana are fed up with diesel prices, so they made a convoy to the state capital.
They circled the statehouse honking their horns to let lawmakers know of their troubles. Event organizer Darrell Breeden of Washington, Indiana says with diesel over $4.00 a gallon, it takes some truckers $1,250 to fill up their tank.
He says his business made no money last year, and he knows of several trucking firms that have closed their doors because they can't afford the fuel.
He says the solution is a federally mandated fuel surcharge and a minimum shipping rate charge.
