(UNDATED) - It may not seem like much but for those serving overseas, it could mean the boost they need to keep going.
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is making his way overseas to visit Indiana troops. The exact details of where he's going and how long he'll be gone are not being disclosed.
Still, Staff Sergeant Jeff Lowry with the Indiana National Guard says it means a lot when a local officials visits the troops.
Lowry was stationed with a unit from Georgia when Georgia governor Sonny Perdue visited with troops overseas. He says the visit meant more than the president or a congressman or senator because he was from the "home" area and put himself in harm's way just to meet with troops from his state.
Lowry met the Georgia governor personally and says Governor Daniels trip will mean a lot to the Indiana troops.
