(CORYDON) - The Harrison County Sheriff is facing more allegations. Two women who work for the Sheriff’s Department have filed lawsuits claiming sexual harassment.
The latest claims come after the county paid $55,000 last fall to settle four civil-right lawsuits by former Sheriff's department employees.
The latest allegations prompted the county commissioners on Wednesday to call for Mike Deatrick to step down pending the federal investigation of the claims and to announce that they may open their own inquiry.
