(UNDATED) - Many Hoosiers still haven’t received their government stimulus checks but they’ve already decided how they plan to use them.
Many we talked to said they'll probably pay bills. Other uses: down payment on a house, buy new furniture, new storm doors and put it toward their honeymoon.
Several people said they'll just deposit the money in their savings accounts. Most said the checks will help some people but still believe it's just a short- term fix.
The IRS sent letters to more than 130-million U.S. households announcing the $168-billion dollar economic stimulus plan. The mailings went to people who filed 2007 tax returns.
