(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis city officials are sounding off about scoring the Super Bowl touchdown.
Mayor Greg Ballard says it's already time to start planning. Ballard says he wants people to think, "wow-that city really knows how to host a good party."
Ballard also says he is considering asking the federal government for a special event designation. That would mean security assistance from the military the week before the game in February 2012.
Indianapolis Downtown Inc. President Tamara Zahn says this is a major win for the businesses around the region and for the hospitality industry locally.
