(UNDATED) - The Coast Guard rescued six campers stranded at the Owen-Putnam State Forest.
Department of Natural Resource officers tried to get to the three adults, toddler and baby earlier Sunday but called the mission off because of rugged terrain. Mud slides made it impossible for the campers to get to high ground.
The group was taken to a local shelter after they were rescued.
