(MOSCOW) - Three weeks before a Rush County covered-bridge festival, the bridge it celebrates has been destroyed.
Moscow Covered Bridge Festival organizers haven't decided whether to go forward with the June 27-29 festival.
Larry Stout with the festival association says they might hold the festival anyway to raise money to help Moscow residents or to rebuild the bridge.
The tornado also damaged the stage where festival events take place.
The 122-year-old bridge was the longest covered bridge in Indiana still handling traffic.
It'll be up to the county commissioners to decide whether to rebuild the bridge. Stout estimates the cost at $3-to-5 million dollars.
