(UNDATED) - Hoosiers are reacting to the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that ends Washington D.C.’s ban on handguns.
The nations' highest court struck it down by a 5-4 vote, saying Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting.
Reaction to the ruling in Downtown Indianapolis was mixed, with some people saying it protects the second amendment. Others believe the right to bear arms is outdated.
The decision marks the first definitive pronouncement on gun rights in U.S. history.
