(PUTNAM COUNTY) - Some good news for people who are needing to use Interstate 70, it’s reportedly back open.
Indiana State Police from the Putnamville post say repairs on the westbound lanes from storms and flooding have been completed, all detour routes have been removed, and the roadway is back open for business.
This should significantly reduce through traffic along US-40, which served as the main detour route around the flooded section of interstate.
However, I-65 and US-31 through Bartholomew County are still currently listed as closed.
