(UNDATED) - The recent flooding in Central and Southern Indiana is not affecting tourism in the region according to Curt Brantingham with the Office of Tourism Development.
He says the biggest problem now is tourists assuming destinations in flood zones are closed. Brantingham cites attractions in heavily flooded locations like Columbus or Edinburgh that are now dry, open and accessible.
High gas prices are making in-state vacation trips more attractive, so he suggests checking visitindiana.com to plan your trip.
