(TERRE HAUTE) - State police say a woman was able to get away from a man who attacked her with a stun gun in her car.
The incident happened Sunday at the Garden Quarter Apartments in Terre Haute.
The 22-year-old victim says she had just gotten into her car when a man opened her door and zapped her with a stun gun several times. The woman claims the attacker tried to get her out but couldn't because of her seat belt.
The attacker then got into the back seat and began choking the woman. The victim then reportedly grabbed a knife she had in the front seat and stabbed the man several times. She drove a short distance before flagging another motorist for help.
Police say the attacker -- described as a five-foot-ten, 210-pound white male -- was able to escape. Authorities believe he might have been able to flee the scene in a blue Mistubishi "Spider" or "Eclipse" convertible with a black top.
