(SOUTH BEND) - Some tense moments for South Bend EMS and firefighters.
Emergency crews responded early Tuesday to a woman injured in her home. As they began to enter the woman's home, they were approached by an angry mob and were forced to call for police backup.
EMS were able to get to the woman and left with the crowd following and climbing onto the ambulance. No one was injured.
This incident comes on the heels of a firefighter and two police officers being shot at in St. Louis on Monday.
