(PRINCETON) - Authorities say protesters have interrupted the start of construction on the Interstate 69 extension that will link Evansville and Indianapolis.
More than a dozen people were arrested Monday as they blocked the entrance to an asphalt plant that will supply materials to build the 142-mile highway.
Meanwhile, a ceremony to celebrate groundbreaking on I-69 is scheduled for Wednesday in Evansville.
