(SOUTH BEND) - A portion of a South Bend street was closed Monday due to a bomb scare.
Police shut down Jefferson Boulevard after two suspicious canisters were found outside the Robert A. Grant Federal Building. The canisters were x-rayed and found to be safe.
Officials believe the cans likely contained freon, but are not sure where they came from.
