(UNDATED) - Commercial vehicles transporting hazardous waste will be inspected this week.
Motor carrier inspectors with the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division will participate in the enforcement program Wednesday.
ISP will be joining troopers and inspectors from Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan in this multi-state enforcement initiative.
Inspectors will be checking carriers to ensure that they are in compliance with the regulations that govern the transportation of hazmat. This enforcement initiative, which will take place state wide, will place emphasis on those routes known to be frequently traveled by hazmat carriers.
