(PERU) - Officials at Grissom Air Reserve Base responded to a base-wide disaster Thursday.
Area residents may have noticed smoke and emergency personnel in the area following an aircraft accident.
However, it was only a test. Lieutenant Gary Lockard said the exercise is part of Grissom's disaster response training program.
Response personnel, a KC-135R Stratotanker from the 434th air refueling wing and a DC-8 aircraft from the Grissom Air Museum were all part of the drill.
