(NOBLESVILLE) - Police are crediting alert neighbors with a big drug bust in Hamilton County.
Hamilton/Boone county drug task force Major Lee Goodman says 41-year-old Byron Beard and 37-year-old Christina Cataldo were arrested after neighbors saw what they thought was suspicious activity.
It appears the neighbors were right.
Police hauled about three pounds of marijuana from the home and confiscated about 18 pounds from cars seen leaving the home.
Goodman says neighbors noticed Beard and Cataldo had expensive cars in their driveway, but never left for work.
He says the pair also had frequent visitors who only stayed a few minutes each visit.
Additionally, Goodman says the home had heavy duty, reinforced steel bar security doors to all its entry and exits.
Beard and Cataldo face felony charges for possession of marijuana.
Five others face charges in connection to the bust.
Police say 20 pounds of pot is worth about 65-thousand dollars on the street.
