(ELKHART) - An inmate who escaped from the Elkhart County Jail over a year ago has been apprehended in Chicago.
30-year-old Lee Sims was captured by the U.S. Marshals' Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Sims and five other inmates broke out of the Elkhart County Jail in July 2007. They apparently climbed over a wall and cut through a fence to escape.
Two were caught not long after their escape. The other inmates remain at large.
