(INDIANAPOLIS) - Officials are saying little about a federal investigation of the Indianapolis Metro Police Department.
Mayor's Spokesman Marcus Barlow says a grand jury has been looking into unspecified allegations of wrongdoing at IMPD, but there's no information on who's under investigation or for what.
A federal grand jury indicted three IMPD narcotics officers in June on charges of stealing and reselling marijuana. They're scheduled for trial December 1.
It's unknown whether there's any connection between that investigation and the current one. Federal prosecutors are refusing to comment at all.
