(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne woman has pleaded guilty to murder in the stabbing death of her daughter’s roommate in her college dormitory room.
Tina Morris made her guilty plea today in Allen Superior Court. Under a plea agreement, the 36-year-old woman faces a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison. The remaining charges of felony murder, robbery and auto theft are being dropped.
22-year-old Liette "Lola" Martinez of Las Cruces, New Mexico was found stabbed in her Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne dorm room in April. Investigators say the stabbing took place after she confronted Martinez about an argument Martinez had with her daughter.
