(INDIANAPOLIS) - Three teens held in connection with the smash and grab at Don’s Guns on July 25th were back in Marion County juvenile court Tuesday.
Charges against the 14-year old twin brothers and a 15-year old include burglary, auto theft, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, resisting law enforcement and carrying a handgun without a license.
The prosecution entered a motion to have the 15 year old's case moved to adult court. That decision is pending.
Defense attorneys again asked that the media be barred from the proceedings and the teens be released to await their next court appearance but Judge Gary Chavers denied the motions.
The prosecution and probation office opposed their release, saying the teens were a flight risk and a danger to the community.
The trial is scheduled to be back in court later this month.
