(LEBANON) - One person has died in a fire at Lebanon Manor Village, an assisted living complex for the elderly in Lebanon.
Boone County Coroner Rick Dowden said the victim was 79 year-old Valda Shockley. The fire apparently started in her apartment Monday. No other injuries were reported.
The cause is still under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.
The Boone County Red Cross and emergency management was working to get the residents relocated.
Firefighters also rescued a number of pets from the building, which is believed to be a total loss.
