(INDIANAPOLIS) - Thanks to a very cloudy summer, the fall colors started happening a little earlier than usual this year.
Gardening expert Dick Crum says some trees and bushes began turning as early as July.
Crum says the flood waters that plagued parts of the state over the last week won't have much of an effect on the colors, but it is impacting the growing season. Crum says the rains have "breathed new life" into a fading growing season.
Crum says the cooler temps over the summer helped plants "recoup" after a serious drought last fall.
