(RICHMOND)- Anti-smoking groups are advocating the defeat of a smoking ordinance in the city of Richmond.
The groups say the pending ordinance by the city council is toothless since it doesn't ban second-hand smoke in workplaces or parts of restaurants.
The advocates say it would be better to have no ordinance, because they contend this proposal would give people a false sense of protection.
The Richmond city council could vote on the ordinance during their meeting on Monday.
