(INDIANAPOLIS) - The state court of appeals has upheld the conviction and 30-year prison sentence of a Gibson County woman.
Vanessa Robinson was sentenced in March, nearly a year after the body of her newborn infant son was discovered in a box in the basement of her home.
The appeals court ruled that "the state presented sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Robinson committed neglect of a dependent.
