(UNDATED) - It may seem early to think about holiday gift giving, but not if you’re sending a package to a soldier overseas.
This year the deadline is November 13 to get packages to military personnel by late December. The U.S. Postal Service has a free "Military Care Kit" which includes the correct sized boxes, forms and address labels.
The kits are available by calling 1-800-610-8734.
The postal service also says packages addressed to "Any Soldier" will not be accepted this year because of security concerns.
