(HAMMOND) - Former Gary police chief Thomas Houston is guilty of violating the civil rights of a man whom he admitted kicking during a raid.
However, a federal jury yesterday also acquitted Houston of five other counts.
Jurors acquitted two other Gary officers on charges they faced in the case.
