(UNDATED) - The 2010 census is coming up faster than most folks realize and that means there’s a lot of work to be done.
The Census Bureau will begin taking the nation's population count in an effort to determine how billions of dollars in federal monies should be divided up among municipalities across the U.S.
Nicole Miller, with the Chicago Area Census Department, says they're in the process of finding the first wave of employees for the upcoming census by testing for management positions.
The Census Bureau will begin the hiring process for the next wave of employees following the hire of managers. If you're interested in a job with the Census Bureau Miller says to log on to census.gov and click on the Chicago region or call 800-470-8896.
