(KOKOMO) - A ruptured appendix lands Howard County’s sheriff on the operating table.
Sheriff Marty Talbert's surgery was performed shortly after he landed at Indianapolis International Airport following a trip to Colorado to pick up a wanted criminal.
Talbert says he thought he was passing a kidney stone when he felt the excruciating pain. He says had he known his appendix had ruptured, he would have never boarded the plane.
