(INDIANAPOLIS) - A statewide education conference in Indianapolis is focusing on two innovative high school models known as “new tech” and “early college”.
Currently six high schools around the state have begun teaching under the "new tech" model where each student gets a computer for project-based lessons to prepare them for today's work environment.
Eight "early college" high schools are operating now with eight more in the works.
These schools help students transition to college by allowing them to earn up to two years of college credit while still in high school.
