(UNDATED) - It’s a Thanksgiving treat for hundreds of Indiana families. Members of the 76th Infantry Brigade will return home today after a year long deployment in Iraq.
About 600 Guard members are due to return on two flights at Indianapolis International Airport. Hundreds more have come home this month, and some are still being debriefed at Camp Atterbury. The rest are due back from Iraq by December 9.
The soldiers are among some 3,400 guard members from cities and towns across the state who have spent much of the year in Iraq.
