(UNDATED) - Medicare open enrollment is now underway and is the one time of year when seniors can make any changes to their current Medicare plan.
Some beneficiaries may see significant premium increases or changes, such as reduced coverage in the gap, if they do not choose a new 2009 prescription drug plan. Medicare is encouraging beneficiaries to review how their Medicare health and drug coverage plans may change for 2009.
Events will be held today in Indianapolis and Crown Point that will be geared toward raising awareness of the tools and resources available.
Indiana Department of Insurance State Health Insurance Assistance Program representatives will be on-site at both events.
