(UNDATED) - More members of the Indiana National Guard returned home Thursday night following a 9-month deployment to Iraq.
Staff Sergeant Jeff Lowry says the group consisted of about 145 soldiers from the 7th infantry brigade combat team.
Thursday night's arrival was one of many that have taken place over the last several days and Sgt. Lowry says more are on the way with arrivals on tap for today and tomorrow.
The initial deployment consisted of about 3400 soldiers from Indiana, the largest single National Guard deployment in Indiana history.
Sgt. Lowry says the entire unit will be returning home in waves over the next few weeks.
Several members will be home in time for Thanksgiving, but the entire unit is expected home by the first of December.
