(TERRE HAUTE) - The second dormitory fire this year at Indiana State University leaves two students with smoke inhalation and some residents in temporary housing. The fire happened about 7:30 Wednesday night.
Battalion Chief Bob Keifner says students tried to put out the fire at Cromwell Hall before it spread.
One of the two girls hurt was treated at the scene, the other was taken to Union Hospital, then released.
Damage was confined to one dorm room on the top floor of the 12-story hall, but water damage is wider spread.
All students except those on the top floor were allowed back in the dorms last night.
