(UNDATED) - Cooler weather has arrived in Indiana and winterizing your home for winter could save you money.
Hoosier home expert Pat Sullivan says homeowners should make sure if they have double hung windows that the upper sash is closed and locked, sometimes the windows will slip open if they're not locked.
He also says furnace filters need changed often to keep the unit running efficiently.
Sullivan says chalking around windows and doors will also keep cold air out and warm air during winter months.
