(TERRE HAUTE) - A federal grand jury has indicted twenty alleged methamphetamine traffickers, most of them from the Terre Haute area.
All have been charged with conspiracy to distribute the drug.
According to the indictment, 43 year-old Robbin Welker of Terre Haute acquired large amounts of the drug from a supplier in Indianapolis. Along with 34 year-old Brandon Nemeth, Welker transported it to Terre Haute.
Investigators seized twenty firearms along with $28,000 in cash and over a pound of methamphetamine.
All but one of the defendants have been arrested.
First Assistant to the US Attorney Christina McKey says 34 year-old Jason Bays of Terre Haute is still being sought. Their initial hearings before a U.S. magistrate judge in Terre Haute begins Friday.
