(VERNON) - A 16-year-old Jennings County boy accused of killing a puppy will appear before a judge Thursday in a hearing to determine if he will be waived to adult court.
The prosecutor is seeking to have the boy charged as an adult in the abuse and death of a one-month-old puppy in November.
The boy and an alleged accomplice, a 13-year-old boy, have both been charged with animal cruelty. The teen has been detained at Jackson County Juvenile Detention Facility since his arrest.
