(INDIANAPOLIS) - A 15-year-old girl is in serious but stable condition after being shot outside Washington Square Mall.
Indianapolis Metro Police say it happened outside the Burlington Coat Factory. Investigators say Shanita Johnson was in the car with three other girls when a black range rover came up behind them.
The 17-year-old driver pulled out, not knowing the SUV was there. Detectives say the driver of the range rover allegedly threw a cup out the window at the car and followed them around the parking lot.
Investigators say the driver of the SUV opened fire, striking Johnson in the shoulder.
Police are looking for a black range rover in connection with this case.
